3D print Reykjavík

Reykjavík reads well at small scale because so little of it is tall. A model that's mostly rooftops and a harbor line still looks like a city, not a handful of blocks.

The old center — Laugavegur and the streets around the harbor — is dense with two- and three-story buildings, which is exactly the scale a desktop print handles best. Draw around that core and include the waterfront, and you get a coastline, a working harbor, and a compact grid of streets in one model.

If you widen the area, Hallgrímskirkja's tower gives you a single tall landmark to anchor the skyline — worth including if you want one recognizable point of reference rather than an even field of rooftops.
