Terms
Short version: draw an area, build a model, export it, print it or use it however you like. The data underneath (OpenStreetMap, Copernicus) carries its own license — see attribution — and a model you export inherits that, same as any map render does.
What you can do
Use models you generate for personal prints, gifts, teaching, art, whatever you'd like — commercial use included. You made the export; it's yours to use, subject to the underlying data license above.
What we don't promise
Map data has gaps and errors — a building might be missing, a height might be a rough estimate, a coastline might be simplified. Map2Mesh reflects what OpenStreetMap and the terrain dataset actually contain, not a guaranteed-accurate survey of the real world. Don't rely on a model for anything where that distinction matters.
Service availability
This runs as a small, independently operated project. We aim to keep the core generation and export flow working and free — see the story behind that promise — but as with any project this size, we can't guarantee uninterrupted uptime.
This page is a working draft of our terms, not a substitute for legal advice. It will be revised as the project grows.
