Relief and terrain maps, 3D printed

Not every area you want on your shelf has buildings on it. Turn buildings off and Map2Mesh prints the land itself — a ridgeline, a river canyon, a coastline — as a clean relief model.

The elevation data comes from Copernicus GLO-30, a global dataset at 30-meter resolution — fine enough to hold onto a mountain's ridgelines and a canyon's walls, coarse enough to build fast even over a large area. Turn the height multiplier up if you want a dramatic profile, or leave it close to 1:1 for something closer to the real proportions.

This is the same terrain mesh that sits under every building in a city model — draped correctly on slopes, base following the lowest ground point and roof following the highest, so nothing floats or pokes through. Strip the buildings away and it stands on its own.

Turn terrain on, buildings off, and try a mountain or a coastline.
